Vietnam Era Selective Conscripts Australia

It has been asked many times amoungst Veterans at Cockscomb, the debate never lets go, how did National Serviceman get involved with Vietnam? Well Terry Fogerty has put together a mountain of work in this area and some of the answers are on his site. Or you can go to the Government Site here

NEW ROOF FOR VAN

Tonys poptop van was deteriating so a roof was added over the top. This will keep the water out of the van and give us another roof to collect water off.

NO SMOKING AREAS

The Cockscomb kitchen is a no smoking area. If you have to smoke, the kitchen is one area where we ask you to consider others especially whilst food is being prepared

FOSSICKERS TREASURES

Do a spot of fossicking. This area was one of Central Queenslands gold areas. There is still gold to be found and many other little treasures left behind by the Chinese and european gold fossikers. Look at our history page

COMPUTER WORMS

Recently there has been a spate of nasty worms that will cause you some concern with your computer. I'm not going to profess to be any sort of expert, but there are programs that if you download and both run regularly and keep up to date, your PC has a better chance of survival. Cool web search generates a diverter or Hyjacker which will redirect your web brouser to one of its own

Some programs you can use to address this problem are Ad-aware SE and another Spy-Bot Search and Destroy. But to crack out the big guns look at SPYSubtract and CWShredder.

Cool Web Search Hijacker If you want to read about them look at this page SITE and SPYSUBtract and CWShredder
